About This Service
Visit the King Abdulaziz Complex for the Holy Kaaba Kiswah — the factory where the black cloth that covers the Kaaba is made. It is a moving experience for many pilgrims to see how the Kiswah is produced, from dyeing and weaving the silk to the gold and silver embroidery of the Quranic verses.
The factory is in the Umm al-Joud area, about 10 km from Masjid al-Haram. Visits must be booked in advance and approved, and visiting days and times are set by the factory, so please book your visit first.
